Not British, but living in London?
Guess what? You can vote too if you are an EU or Commonwealth citizen!
Yes, really. Because the GLA Election and the Mayoral Election is a ‘local’ election, this means all EU citizens and all Commonwealth citizens can vote in the election!
So if you are French, Polish, Pakistani, Indian, Australian, German, South African, Nigerian, Swedish, Dutch, Slovakian, Maltese or lots of other nationalities, you can vote too!
Full lists of countries whose citizens can vote
If you are from one of these countries, make sure you vote on 1 May.
Or if you know anyone from one of these countries who’s living in Greater London, encourage them to vote too!
